The dozer blade is the main working body, and the more difficult the work, the more durable and wear-resistant the blades of the dozer should be. The side cutters (side knives) are installed along the edges of the lower part of the blade's front plate using bolts. They have thick beveled edges and two rows of mounting holes to move the knife when the cutting edge is worn. The knives are made of sufficiently resistant steels, but not more than 500HB, when quarrying with crushed stone, or developing soils of increased complexity, containing solid elements, the blade blades are dull. Exposure to continuous alternating shock loads and abrasive wear leads to cracks, chipping and loss of cutting properties.
